BAU Batumi Triumphs as Winner of Georgia I2Q - Innovation, Inclusivity, and Quality

In an exciting development, BAU International University Batumi emerged victorious in the Georgia I2Q – Innovation, Inclusivity, and Quality – “Education for Better Employment: Partnership in Innovative Healthcare” grant project, generously funded by the Competitive Innovation Fund (CIF).

The Competitive Innovation Fund holds a strategic vision of swiftly modernizing higher education programs and learning environments, fortifying their alignment with the demands of the labor market.

The winning project is geared towards advancing integrated higher education within the healthcare sector, with a focus on crafting contemporary, inventive educational programs and forging sustainable, cross-sectoral partnerships.

To this end, a consortium of higher education institutions, featuring the collaboration of Ilia State University and BAU International University Batumi, will be established within the project framework. This consortium will meticulously assess the healthcare market’s needs and spearhead the swift modernization and accessibility of educational programs and research endeavors.

Further bolstering the initiative, the Hospital Association of Georgia and Curacio International Foundation, representing employers from diverse backgrounds, will partner with the consortium in areas concerning public health, health policy, and facility management.

The project adopts a holistic approach to fostering collaboration among educational institutions, employers, and students within the healthcare realm.

Moreover, the project meticulously explores the multifaceted prospects of higher education, synergizing with the three key priorities of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): education (SDG4), health (SDG3), and employment (SDG8). This underscores a commitment to sustainable development and comprehensive progress in the field.
