Japanese Days 2024, a highly successful event, took place at BAU International University Batumi on March 7. The gathering witnessed the presence of His Excellency Mr. Ishizuka Hideki, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan, who inaugurated the public session with an insightful speech.
The discussions during the event encompassed various topics, including bilateral relations between Georgia and Japan, as well as the exciting prospects of engaging students and staff from BAU Batumi International University in international mobility programs aimed at the Far East region.
Adding to the cultural richness of the occasion was the participation of the Japanese Culture and Language Center, which curated a captivating cultural-educational corner. This corner featured demonstrations of traditional Japanese attire, the intricate art of Japanese tea ceremonies, insights into anime culture, and engaging masterclasses in Japanese calligraphy – Hiragana and Katakana.
Our university’s commitment to fostering partnerships with institutions in Japan serves as a cornerstone for future endeavors, ensuring similar enriching activities continue to thrive.
